Business Unit Profile
The Carbon and Energy Management (CEM) business unit develops technologies and processes that are focused on reducing the carbon intensity of energy production through CO2 capture and storage (CCS) and other clean energy technologies, delivering economic and environmental benefits to industry and government.
Position Overview
To provide numerical simulation expertise to CO2 storage projects and to develop and/or enhance new tools for predicting the fate of CO2 injected into geological formations for the purpose of CO2 storage and/or enhanced petroleum recovery.
Requirements The successful candidate for this position will have a background in transport processes in porous media, with experimental and/or numerical simulation experience. He/she should possess a graduate degree (PhD preferred) in the physical sciences or engineering and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Project leadership skills are a must with emphasis on independently initiate and manage projects and successfully deliver project results on time. Must have the ability to work and conduct research independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Well-developed communication skills are essential. Equivalencies may be considered.
Compensation We offer a comprehensive benefit package and stimulating work environment. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience. Final candidates will be asked to undergo a Security Clearance, as well as provide a Driver's Abstract if applicable.
