Graduate Opportunity (Fall 2010; Funding available) in Land and Atmospheric Science Graduate Program @University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
We are looking for highly motivated Ph.D. and/or M.S. student(s) interested in Biogeochemistry and Hydrochemistry of Earthworm Invasion. In the glaciated parts of N. America, the forests evolved without native earthworms for the last ten thousand years. Now, with agriculture, fishing, logging, off‐road driving, exotic earthworms are invading into these forests. the Earthworm invasion is significantly affecting the soil biogeochemistry and carbon cycle and the sustainability of the forests. A team of multi‐disciplinary scientists will work with you. Our field site is located in N. Minnesota Contact Dr. Kyungsoo Yoo (will join UMN, fall 2010)
